Irwinton Volunteer Fire Department

The Irwinton Volunteer Fire Department serves the City of Irwinton and works through “Mutal Aid” to assist our neighbors in Wilkinson County including volunteer fire departments in City of McIntyre, Town of Toomsboro, Town of Ivey, and City of Gordon when life or property are threatened. Members of the Irwinton Volunteer Fire Department also volunteer with the Wilkinson County Emergency Management Agency and respond to natural disasters, missing persons, crash extrication, and chemical emergencies
I.V.F.D. is an I.S.O. Class 7 Fire Department. Irwinton Fire Department has two Class – A pumpers, thermal imaging, foam, and medical First Responder equipment including AED.
The Fire Department is located at Irwinton City Hall.

Irwinton Municipal Court is held the second Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. in the Court Room at City Hall.

The Irwinton Water Department provides quality water to over 700 residential, business, education, and governmental customers in and around Irwinton.
Utilizing over 20 miles of water distribution infrastructure, two elevated gravity tanks, and two 400 foot deep-wells, Irwinton has the capacity to provide quality treated water to our area.
Working with the Middle Georgia Regional Commission, the U.S.D.A. and the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, Irwinton is working make its municipal water system more reliable and more efficient.
